Weekend coffee #97.
As someone who works from home, it’s exciting when I get the opportunity to leave the house. And yet, it’s no surprise that when I spent Thursday in NYC attending a RecruitingDaily event, I managed to get yogurt all over myself mere moments after arriving. On my sweater, my name tag, the back of my pants, you name it. Can’t take me anywhere apparently. While I take my clothes to the dry cleaners, here are a few other things occupying my time this week:
A queen. Could you imagine being so cool as throwing around “I always want to be dangerous” casually during an interview?
Look, I’m not a cold weather person, but I learned a long time ago that you can’t fight Mother Nature. So might as well join her, or at least take a weekend trip to soak it all in.
Or, you could read this poem. Not usually something I’d reference but Helena Fitzgerald included it in her most recent Griefbacon (which is sadly nearing its end).
Woof, I know we talk a lot about managing adult friendships, but I hate the idea of using a CRM for that purpose. I use enough software at work.
Please read this, the media is very important. Not only because it’s my livelihood, but also because sharing opinions is an important facet of democracy.
Open item: What’s your take on air fryers? Worth it? I’ve cycled through lots of buzz-y kitchen items over the years and don’t want to buy another one just to chuck it next year.
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along.
