Weekend coffee #96.
So Halloween was a bit of a bust. The weather turned out to be windy and damp, and not many kids showed up. For the first time in seven years, I ended up with candy leftover! Usually, I’m wiped out by dark, and turn the lights out and hide. Now, I’m in Fort Lauderdale for a super short, family-related trip, but I’ll be back home tonight. In the meantime, here’s what I was reading and thinking about this week:
Ugh @ daylight savings. Nothing I hate more than a 4 p.m. sunset. And the winter. And being cold. And well, maybe I should consider staying here in Florida.
So much yes to the Jenny Slate Netflix special. I also can’t turn down a Rachel Syme profile, and this one hits all the marks for me.
Lol @ this NY Times’ Peter Luger review. I often bemoan the loss of old New York (at least my perception of it), but sometimes we need a change or two.
Speaking of nostalgia, I Guess My Parents Were Right About Frasier. I watched the whole series a few years ago and yep, it’s fantastic. I wonder if thirty-something holds up.
At an Outback Steakhouse Franchise, Surveillance Blooms. Two steakhouse mentions in one week? I don’t eat steak, but I am continually fascinated by the rise of surveillance at work.
I picked up this ace&jig Trash Tee on sale the other day and am happy to have somewhere to wear it as the temps drop at home. It looks like it’s about to be my hibernation season.
Until next time - thanks for following along!
P.S. For anyone looking, I took down my services page for some updating. It will be back up soon!
