Weekend coffee #98.
I’ve fallen out of the habit of using this blog to document my life as it happens. I suppose that’s what Twitter and Instagram are for nowadays. But for the sake of transparency, I’ll share that last weekend included my first-ever powerlifting meet, something I’ve been training for, mostly in secret, since the summer. I didn’t know what to expect the day of since the lead up is primarily solitary, and the event is so public. In the end, I was pleased with how things turned out and feel like I’ve got room to grow in the sport, something I’m considering for 2020. Given how much thought and effort went into the meet, the days after focused more on unwinding, sleeping and eating more and well, reading less. Well, maybe not less, but indeed less serious, more lighthearted, holiday heavy content. Here’s that:
"SNL" Just Released Every "Stefon" Sketch, So Here Are The Funniest Ones. To be honest, I bookmarked this on Tuesday and saved it for myself as a treat for Friday afternoon (and I’m so glad I did).
I’m very rarely jealous of people who live in Los Angeles, except in the case of “How to Spend Christmas in Stars Hollow Like a Gilmore Girl.” I missed out on tickets to the Schitt’s Creek pop-up in New York next month, and now this?
Thanksgiving planning is fully underway, and this post, “What’s Your Glark?” cracked me up. My family doesn’t have a “glark” per se, though we do partake in the classic, jellied Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, ridges and all.
Unrelated, yet hilarious. “Feral Pigs Eat And Destroy $22K Worth Of Cocaine Hidden In Italian Forest.” Cause I needed more than one laugh, and I can’t think of anything funnier than Italian boars snorting cocaine.
Until next time - thanks for following along.
