Weekend coffee #228.
You know that sad “Where Are You Christmas” song that Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who sang in the weird live-action How the Grinch Stole Christmas? For one thing, I had no idea Mariah Carey was partially responsible for the track, but more than that, I’m feeling a bit like that listless little in anticipation of warmer weather. It is seasonably cold here and gray and rainy and I, for one, am over it. While 2022 seems to be moving at hyper speed, Mother Nature is dawdling about a month behind. Had to get excited to pick up our beach badges when we still have the heat on. A minor nuisance in the larger scheme of things (cough, the Supreme Court) but it remains one of my latest gripes. Otherwise, here’s a look at what’s going on:
Logos You Can See From Space. Possibly the most capitalist thing ever.
Just heard about the clothing company, For Days, and I’m into the concept.
Office snacks might be dying off. Good. Haven’t had to deal with stale Munchkins in almost 8 years.
This screw ring which I found through Swiss Miss.
My friend Laura talking to CNN about a trend I don’t believe exists (but she’s great!).
Coming soon: Smitten Kitchen Keepers. Yes, please.
Currently watching: The final episodes of Grace and Frankie.
Currently reading: Beach Read by Emily Henry.
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be warm.
