Weekend coffee #107.
While I hate to default to weather talk, this week was weird. Last Saturday and Sunday, the temperatures hovered around 60 degrees, Monday to Thursday lingered in the forties and by yesterday, it was brick. If you don’t think climate change is a real thing, just click the little X in your browser and travel elsewhere online. Otherwise, here’s some of what I’m thinking about lately:
“It’s more than a shoe, it’s a sisterhood”: inside the Rothy’s fandom. So, I have a pair of Rothy’s, and I don’t love them. They’re ok in terms of style and look, but the fit is not great for me. Like I probably should have made the return. Instead, I wear them on occasion because of the price.
Speaking of viral shoes, I did order a pair of Nothing New sneakers the other day, specifically for training. It appears I’m a sucker for an internet ad, and easily swayed by the promise of sustainability. In this case, I’ll be more selective about fit.
Moving Value: From System Of Record To System Of Intelligence. File this one under: shameless self-promotion. A recent ghostwriting project, in case you’ve ever wondered what I actually do all day. It’s writing about stuff like this!
It Matters That Elizabeth Warren Is a Woman. Why Do So Many on the Left Insist That It Doesn't? I’m a big fan of Professor Cooper, and I’m really glad she wrote this piece. I’d love to pretend that it’s not an issue when, unfortunately, it is, and we need to acknowledge that.
I’ve been trying to make dinner more this year, so I dusted off this Vegan Sloppy Joe recipe and halved it. I ate mine with some corn chips. Jesse ate it as a traditional sandwich and took it for lunch the next day. I highly recommend making.

That’s it for now. Until next weekend - thanks for following along.
