Weekend coffee #171.
The CDC announcement late last week that vaccinated people can travel has me feeling all sorts of ways. I already knew I would be expected to go to Vegas in late September for work, but now I’ve got two earlier trips planned. Both domestic, one by car and the other by plane. Flying is some sort of pride in my family, with all of us collecting frequent flyer miles, comparing statuses and contrasting destinations for fun. I’ve been told I took my first flight at three months old which I’m not even sure is allowed anymore (JK). We’ll see if I retain this excitement come mid-May after traipsing all over Newark and few other airports to reach my destination and then home again. In the meantime, here’s what else is happening:
The strange journey of ‘cancel,’ from a Black-culture punchline to a White-grievance watchword
Background on the aforementioned exhibit I’m going to in June
‘How is babby formed?’ used to provide endless amusement for my friends from college
After Working at Google, I’ll Never Let Myself Love a Job Again
Watching: Seaspiracy. Tough watch, brutal at times, made some valid points.
Reading: Best Friends Forever. Completely insipid drivel.
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
