Weekend coffee #162.
As it turns out, I still loathe winter, but I’m trying to follow my neighbors’ advice (see above). Maybe if I actually got snow says I would appreciate it more. Jesse’s job shut down for like three days this week while I was glued to my desk. Though I’ve worked from home for like seven years, these last 12 months with the constant need for Zoom meetings have been exceptionally challenging. I’m of the “this could have been an email” mindset and don’t feel energized or inspired by staring at a bunch of tiny faces on a screen. That, and I don’t know why anyone needs to see what hoodie I’m wearing as I crouch over my keyboard. But again, it could be worse. So, let’s skip to the what else is happening part:
Data: Staten Island Chuck Or Punxsutawney Phil — Which Groundhog Is Historically More Accurate?
It’s Not Just You. A Lot of Us Are Hitting a Pandemic Wall Right Now.
The Shocking Meltdown of Ample Hills — Brooklyn’s Hottest Ice Cream Company
'Tonsil Is Soft, Fossil Is Not': 9 Palindrome Winners from This Year’s SymmyS Awards
Watching: Mad about You because I’ve never seen it before.
Reading: Waiting on this month’s Feminist Book Club pick.
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
