Weekend coffee #140.
Hard to believe it’s already Labor Day weekend. Time feels suspended this year and I swear it was just March. I’m not sure how to approach the arrival of fall, although New Jersey did start to allow indoor dining and amusements as of yesterday. With that, life is almost back to normal, minus whatever is happening with the schools and the ongoing paper product shortage. We’ll see what’s to come. 2020 hasn’t exactly hadn’t out too much good fortune so far, but things could turn around. Stranger things have happened. Anyway, here’s what I’m reading and pondering lately:
We Have Her Back: The Objectification of Women in Politics—and Why it Matters
Mark Mothersbaugh nearly died from COVID-19. FaceTiming with his family kept him alive
Google Just Launched a Solution for Your Too-Many-Tabs Problem
On Witness and Respair: A Personal Tragedy Followed by Pandemic
And I’m currently finishing up The Glass Hotel
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
