Weekend coffee #131.

I don’t even know how to start this one. Last Sunday morning, around 3 am, I woke up to hear popping noises outside. What I thought was fireworks turned out to be my car engulfed in flames. We don’t know the exact cause but either way, the fire took out my car, our garbage cans, the hedge separating our house from our neighbor’s and their fence. There’s also a decent amount of damage to our garage. As one might expect, I haven’t had a whole lot of time for extracurricular reading this week so here’s a shortlist for a long weekend:

• An old, albeit apropos essay since a kettlebell is all that survived my car.

• Already three episodes into the new Unsolved Mysteries.

• Watching this made me miss going to the movies

• Upcycled corsets made from Budweiser towels and vintage sweats.

• Beavis and Butt-Head being rebooted for a Gen Z world by Comedy Central

• East Fork’s new Lapis collection is so pretty

• Pitchfork’s review of Pure Moods, Volume 1.
