Weekend coffee #129.
This week we finished up a pre-order of the limited edition Mister Face Records shirts pictured above, with all proceeds going to the ACLU, Black Lives Matter, Last Prisoner Project, Marsha P. Institute and National Bail Out. Thanks to everyone who bought one we raised over $1000, which is pretty amazing. Completely unrelated, I also appeared on the #RecruitingLive podcast, talking about post-pandemic communication. So yeah, it’s been a busy one. In between this flurry of activity, here’s some of what I’ve been reading and/or thinking about:
Juneteeth Shop Black happened yesterday but will become annual.
Juneteenth Cookout! 65+ Black Food Bloggers Share Their Favorite Recipes.
Delbert Africa, MOVE member released from prison in January after 41 years, has died
David Bowie Criticizes MTV for Not Playing Videos by Black Artists
Summer time reading lists (mine is on there).
This cake, cause now is the perfect time for it.
That’s it for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
