Weekend coffee #117.
Coming to you live from…my house. Last I checked, New Jersey had the second-highest number of cases in the country behind New York. That's a terrifying thought for a little, albeit densely populated state. Since I'm not able to help physically, I'm trying to do my best to stay the fuck home and contribute virtually. So far, that's meant ordering take out, streaming a movie from our local indie theater and today I'm taking an online cocktail making class from a nearby bar. Obviously, there are a million other ways to contribute but I firmly believe the best thing any of us can do is just stay home. As part of that, here's some of what I've been looking at this week:
That Discomfort You're Feeling Is Grief. Naming it helps a little.
What It's Like to Be One of the Millions of Newly Unemployed Americans.
How to Help Your Laid-Off or Furloughed Employees Manage Unemployment.
Coloring Books for a Cause: The Big Coloring Book of First Avenue. Ordered.
How 'Muscle Memory' May Help Keep Us Fit. My meet is postponed, but here's hoping.
Could There Be a Season 2 of Tiger King? (Please!)
Carrot and White Bean Burgers for quarantine cooking.
Phoebe Reads a Mystery. Very soothing.
That's all for now. If anyone needs anything, let me know! Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
