Weekend coffee #70.
Despite what seems to be never-ending early spring weather, we find ourselves firmly planted in May, and the start of a very busy events season. Last weekend included an engagement party and a wedding (that Negative Approach played!), this weekend includes Deepak Chopra and powerlifting. Never a dull moment, I tell ya. Otherwise, here’s what I’m thinking about lately:
This profile of Claire Boren, a friend and client of mine, and CHHANGE, a local center for genocide education. Timely article as the Washington Post just wrote about the need to remember Holocaust survivors and their stories.
This fun little Adobe quiz that tells you your creative type. I got “The Dreamer” a.k.a. “The power of imagination unleashed” or “Where others see facts and figures, you see symbols, metaphors and hidden meanings.“ I’ll take it.
Because I couldn’t say it better myself. “In Conversation: Anjelica Huston. On growing up in Hollywood, the cost of beating Oprah at the Oscars, and why Jack Nicholson doesn’t act anymore.” An highly entertaining read.
I love a good story-within-a-story and this article on estate sales definitely delivers. Not to mention I’m a bit nostalgic for a time when I spent hours of my life rifling through thrift stores and antique shops, looking for treasures.
Getting impatient waiting for the Everlane Chore Jacket to come back in stock in my preferred size and color, and realizing I should probably get some sort of gear for my upcoming trip to Alaska. Like a rain coat of some sort maybe?
Until next week - thanks for following along.
