Let me tell you 'bout some friends I know...
Here is where I eat my words. Less than two months ago, I wrote about my experience at Monster Mania. Two weeks ago, I found myself at a similar event named Chiller Theatre. Now to be fair to myself, these expos were like night and day. And I really (REALLY) don't foresee myself going to one again. But, see Chiller Theatre was offering an exception.
The reason why? Well, see if you go way, way back into the deep recesses of this here blog, you'll find a poorly formatted post about the movie, "Animal House." A family favorite, "Animal House" is one of the first movies I remember watching (and yes, I was definitely way too young at the time). It's basically religion to my dad.
So when I heard that a number of cast members were reuniting for the 40th anniversary, I had to go. In total, six cast members appeared at Chiller Theatre, including Tim Matheson (Eric "Otter" Stratton), Peter Riegert (Donald "Boon" Schoenstein), Karen Allen (Katy), Mark Metcalf (Douglas C. Neidermeyer), Martha Smith (Babs) and Eliza Roberts (Brunella). We opted to pay extra to enter early and avoid waiting forever. Within an hour, we had the opportunity to meet the cast members plus swing by to see Dee Snider for an extra crossover.
