Weekend coffee #48.
Ah, December. The end of the year. Someone said to me recently “2018 felt like 15 years in one.” To be honest, I hadn’t thought about it yet because in my mind it’s still like…early September. How very “While You Were Sleeping” of me (which I saw in theaters). Anyway, like it or not, we’re in that twelfth month, and that means all the parting, holidaying and birthdaying I can handle. Not that I’m complaining. Given my current caffeine levels and the fact that work is finally starting to quiet down, I’m here to embrace December with open arms. Here’s what else I’m thinking about:
Being nice is the new punk. As an aging punk, I can get behind this. The scene continues to change and evolve and so does the world around us. Deal.
I got into Daughter a few years back, so I’m excited to see new music from the singer, under the name Ex:Re. Check out the video for “Romance” here.
The Cut is a favorite of mine for many reasons, and I’m going to happily pay to continue reading articles like “How to Lose Your Platonic Soul Mate.”
I still hate to love and love to hate running unlike some of my crazier friends (looking at you, Colleen). I wholeheartedly agree with this post.
This list of things to stop doing seems really apropos for all the talk of New Year’s and resolution-making. At the very least, it’s an excellent place to start.
I took a chance on the Wildfang coveralls I posted a few weeks ago. Keeping ‘em! And now I can’t stop thinking about overalls. High school me would be so proud.
Time to get back to work. No rest for the weary…until next time.
