Weekend coffee #44.
Another week in the books. As we enter into November, I’d like to reiterate the importance of going to vote on Tuesday. Even if your area is firmly aligned with one party or the other, take 10 minutes and get to the polls. It’s critical.
In other news, I’m spending this weekend with my college roommates (and one of their dogs), celebrating my parents’ anniversary, seeing a band I loved years ago and hopefully getting an article pulled together. Somewhere in between I plan to continue running as I work my way back into it. Otherwise, here’s what I’m thinking about:
Pumpkins vs. pot. Just wanted to reinforce that whole get out the vote message from up top. Aside from Congress, local issues matter on Tuesday, too.
HIAS, the Jewish refugee-aid group targeted by the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter, explained by its president. An important read.
The new Queen biopic seems to get mixed reviews though I doubt that will stop me from seeing it. If anything, the costumes look amazing.
Though I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year, I’m still planning to make this stuffed mushroom casserole at some point.
These fringed moccasin-style ankle boots are calling my name. Think I might treat myself to an early birthday present.
Don’t forget to fall back! See ya in the future.
